FOODS THAT HELP WOMEN BOOST THEIR FERTILITY

Proper nutrition is vital for ‘good’ fertility. Infertility affects a high percentage of couples all over the world and newlyweds going through this challenge face a lot of pressure as well. Are you having difficulties conceiving?

Ladies, here are the foods you should be eating to boost your chances at baby-making:

Eggs

Organic eggs are packed with a high concentrate of vitamins and minerals, along with amino acids like choline, which improves follicle quality. Like folate, it helps prevent neural tube birth defects and aids in brain development. And don’t forget to keep the yolk—that’s where the good stuff is.

Beans

This is fertility-boosting food. Researchers at the Harvard School of Public Health looked at nearly 19,000 female nurses who were actively trying to get pregnant and found that infertility was 39 percent more likely in women with the highest intake of animal protein. But women who ate a lot of plant protein like Beans were substantially less likely to have trouble trying to conceive.

Ice Cream

Ladies, you are assured of “reproductive health” when you keep the freezer stocked with ice cream. One or two daily servings of Ice cream protects against ovulatory infertility. Researchers found that women enjoying a scoop of full-fat ice cream at least twice a week had a 38 percent lower risk of ovulatory infertility compared with women consuming ice cream less than once a week.

Whole Wheat Bread, Brown rice

When you’re trying to conceive, always choose dark bread over light, brown rice over white, and whole wheat pasta over white.

Olive Oil

Olive oil is a monounsaturated fat that helps increase insulin sensitivity and decrease inflammation throughout the body (inflammation interferes with ovulation, conception, and early development of the embryo). Use it on salads with some balsamic vinegar, or use it for cooking, in place of butter.

Boiled foods

Trans fats, which are found in many baked goods, processed foods, fried foods, and foods you need to watch out for when you’re trying to get pregnant. As much as possible, avoid these trans fats. These fats decrease the body’s ability to react to insulin, which will make you more prone to irregular ovulation.

To increase your chances of getting pregnant, avoid consuming foods like red meat, refined sugar, non-organic chicken, and alcohol.
