YUMMY AND SOFT MANDAZI RECIPE

Mandazi is a slightly sweet East African doughnuts fried to perfection; spicy, airy yeast doughnut dough made with milk.

Ingredients.

↬2 cups wheat flour
↬1 egg
↬¹/₂ cup sugar
↬2 tablespoon melted butter
↬2 teaspoon baking powder or yeast
↬2 ¹/₂ cups water or milk

METHOD OF PREPARATION

Bring all the ingredients to room temperature. Mix all the ingredients together adding flour and start kneading. The dough should be soft but NOT sticky. Roll the dough on a lightly floured surface n cut into square or to your desired shape and fry in a hot oil until all sides are golden brown.
