Spicy chicken and a potato salad.

Wonderful recipe! A meal in itself. Perfect blend of potato, chicken & dressing. The first time I tasted this salad at a party I BEGGED for the recipe. The host kept telling me that he would give it to me and I called him daily until he made good on his word!
A very tasty appetizer. Both recipes are very easy.
Spicy chicken and a potato salad.

Chicken recipe


- Chicken pieces
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Garlic powder/paste
- Paprika
- Royco cube
- Turmeric powder
- Grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 lemon
- 3/4 cup cooking oil.

Steps of preparation

- In a bowl add the chicken pieces and drizzle some of the oil in. Add all the remaining ingredients (including the lime juice) and rub in until all the pieces are well covered in spice.
- In a heated pan add the remaining oil and allow it to get hot.(should be just enough to cover the base of the pan).
- Add the chicken pieces with the skin side down. Let them fry until you get your desired color then turn and let the other side acquire the same. (Keep checking so as not to burn them).
- Once the chicken pieces are nicely browned, transfer them to a baking tray and bake at 200°c for about 12 minutes or until done. By now they should look like roasted chicken--kuku choma. Serve. 

Salad recipe

potato salad.


-red and yellow peppers
-lime juice
-1/4 red onion. 


-peel and slice your potatoes in to bite sizes then boil in garlic, black pepper, turmeric, rosemary leaves and salt.
-when ready drain excess water. Put the potatoes in a bowl.
- In the bowl add the pineapple chunks, sliced bell peppers, chopped cucumber and the finely sliced 1/4 red onion.
- add your dressing, mix well and adjust seasoning to taste. Finally add the lime juice, give it one last mix then serve.
NOTE: add salt until all flavors are elevated.


Combine mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard , white vinegar, salt and pepper(optional).
