How to Make Potato Croquette

A simple to follow guide and a solution on what to do with left over Mashed potatoes.

The main ingredients

Mashed potato
An egg or two
Make sure to season the breadcrumbs with salt and pepper.
For the potato, season it well but don't make it too soft.


Mold the potato into your desired shape and size. Just make sure to mold the firmly press the potato first then shape. To make them even use a flat surface to shape evenly. Shake off the excess flour but be gentle. Dip into the whipped egg (add a little water to make it less thick). Shake off again any excess.

Now dip into the breadcrumbs and make sure it's fully covered. Give a gentle squeeze to make sure the breadcrumbs stick. Set them aside ready for deep frying.

Make sure the oil is hot enough before you start frying. The bubbling should be gently like this the moment you start cooking. After about 2-3 minutes remove from the oil, onto a plate lined with paper towel.
