Sugar cookies recipe


These cookies are WONDERFUL!! I would recommend this recipe to anyone looking for a light and not overly sweet sugar cookie.
I have quite a bit to say about these...they are excellent, my husband and I couldn't stop eating them, both the dough and the cooked cookies. They are tender, just the right amount of sweet flavor, and are buttery, even though I didn't use real butter, but instead used margarine, like the recipe called for.

Quick and easy sugar cookies! They are really good, plain or with candies in them.


⭆2 cups sweet cream salted.
⭆Butter (softened).
⭆2 cups sugar.
⭆2 tablespoon vanilla.
⭆2 eggs.
⭆4 teaspoon baking powder.
⭆6 cups flour.


Cream butter and sugar in a mixer until well mixed. Add vanilla and eggs, mix well. Add baking powder, mix well. Incorporate flour two cups at a time until well blended.

Do not chill cookie dough, roll out with a rolling pin and use cookie cutters to create the desired shape. Bake in a 350-degree oven for 6-8 minutes depending on cookie size. Bake only until the bottoms of the cookies get a golden brown.

Tips: I used 2 extra tablespoons of flour towards the end cause the dough was a bit sticky and I used unsalted butter. Aluminum foil can be used to keep food moist, cook it evenly, and make clean-up easier.

They say not to chill the dough but it was impossible to work with so I chilled it for 20 min and used parchment paper when rolling the dough out. Also, use powdered sugar instead of flour when rolling out.
