Pear Mango Salsa: Serve with tortilla chips or quesadillas
When mangoes are in season and plentiful at the market, it’s hard to resist making mango salsa. It’s so easy! It’s a great salsa to serve with chips for a gathering, and it’s also a terrific side to fish dishes.
Pear Mango Salsa Recipe
Make this relaxing, flavor-filled condiment a part of your daily diet.
Makes 6 servings. ¼ cup per serving.
Prep time: 30 minutes
Ingredients
2 medium pears, peeled, cored, and cut into small chunks
½ mango, peeled, seeded, and cut into small chunks
1⁄3 cup finely chopped yellow bell pepper
1⁄3 cup finely chopped red bell pepper
¼ cup finely chopped red onion
1 small jalapeño pepper, seeded and finely chopped
3 tablespoons finely chopped fresh cilantro
2 teaspoons vegetable oil lime juice to taste salt to taste
Preparation
Mix all ingredients in a bowl and refrigerate in a covered
container for at least 30 minutes or up to 3 hours before serving.
Serve with tortilla chips, quesadillas, or grilled or
roasted meats or fish.
