How to Make Crispy Oatmeal Cookies
These thin and crispy oatmeal cookies are absolute perfections! Crispy, buttery, and completely addictive – I dare you to eat just one! These are simple cookies and contain no egg in the mixture.
☛¹/₂ cup all-purpose flour
☛¹/₂ cup brown sugar, packed
☛¹/₂ cup soft butter or margarine
☛¹/₂ tsp. salt
☛2 Tbs. boiling water
☛¹/₂ tsp. baking soda
☛¹/₂ cup chopped walnuts, optional
☛Sugar for tops of cookies
Stir together water and baking soda. Stir soda mixture into oat mixture. Add nuts, if used, blending well.
Shape into balls the size of walnuts. Flatten with the bottom of a glass dipped in water, then dipped into sugar.
Bake at 375° for 8 minutes until golden and crispy. Cool on racks.
