Here is a quick and easy treat that you can whip up in no-time to curb those cravings without falling off the wagon. The healthy fats and proteins, along with the fact that this recipe doesn’t contain artificial sugars make this a totally guilt-free indulgence.

Ice Cream Recipe


2 bananas
¹/₄ cup of dates (about 7 dates)
¹/₄ cup of almond milk
¹/₃ cup of nuts (plus ²/₃ cup of ground nuts for topping)
Juice of ¹/₂ lemon


  • In a blender, whizz up the nuts so that they resemble small chunks, place in a bowl.
  • Add the remaining ingredients to the blender and mix until a smooth silky texture forms.
  • Combine with the ¹/₃ cup of nuts and stir with a wooden spoon until well mixed.
  • Place the mixture into a flat-based tray and put back into the freezer for 2-3 hours until hardened.
  • Remove and leave for a few minutes to soften then scoop into a bowl.
  • Top with ground nuts and serve!
